We have had a problem with DHCP not working through NanoStation bridges when it comes from hotspot billing gateways. The NanoStation ® M can be deployed for Point-to-Point (PtP) bridging, wireless connectivity to a video surveillance system, or use as an airMAX ® CPE. Dual Ethernet Connectivity With software-enabled PoE output, the secondary Ethernet port can power an external device, such as a PoE security camera, for seamless IP video integration. After getting the bridge working, I installed the "Ubiquiti airGateway LR Wireless access point". This device plugs into the NanoStation's power supply and can be configured as a router or access point. I'll be using it to provide WiFi service in my remote building. No additional power supply or cabling is needed. As we want the cable modem to continue controlling the network, we're setting the NanoStation to Bridge mode, and then assigning the Default Gateway and DNS IP addresses to the address of the modem (192.168.0.1). The secondary DNS server is set to 8.8.8.8 (Google's DNS server), but this isn't important. With the help of the people in this forum I managed to configure two Nanostation Loco M2's as a wireless transparent bridge. I couldn't find any up to date guides online so I thought I'd convert this post to a how-to. Note that I'm using the latest firmware as of July 26, 2013
